CINEMATOGRAPHY



Sim’s cinematography journey began as a lighting electrician, where she gained a strong understanding of colour science and lighting textures while working in high-pressure environments with Warner Bros, Disney, and Apple TV. Her passion for cinematography stems from her longtime practice in analogue photography. Her photography work was longlisted for the England New Lenses Artist Commission, a partnership between English Heritage and Photoworks.

With five years of hands-on industry experience, Sim has contributed to over 80 projects, ranging from short films and documentaries to commercials and music videos. Blending artistic vision with technical expertise, she aims to bring stories to life through the art of camera, light, and shadow. Her cinematography work has been recognized in numerous international visual art awards and featured in outlets including, but not limited to Nowness Asia, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, and A Shaded View on Fashion Film.
